Good golly folks. I’m getting exhausted just thinking about it, but this week we’re going to
tackle the staggeringly large catalog of George Strait songs.
The numbers speak for themselves:
– 69 million records sold
–33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums (the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and is 3rd in all genres behind only The Beatles and Elvis Presley)
– His new single “Here For A Good Time” is his 89th(!) career single
– He has the most #1 singles of any artist in history, including Elvis (57 to date inclusive of all charts)
Folks, it would take at least 5 shows for us to squeeze in all the amazing George Strait songs that are out there. So what we’re doing, is playing the best combination of chart hits and fan favorties…and hoping your favorite is one of them!
That’s really the only way to approach the career of a star of George’s magnitude.
